Today working out won the battle! What battle you ask? The internal battle that occurs every time I contemplate working out. You know how it goes... "I need to work out but I don't want to work out. I hate working out but you need to work out. Just do it! But I don't want to!" When working out wins that's a big accomplishment in my book.
I am currently doing the exercise DVD Self: Slim and Sleek, Fast! I stream the DVD right onto my computer from Netflix for free which is a huge bonus because then I am not out any money. Its an okay exercise routine...oh who am I kidding it kicks my ass. By the end I am sweating bullets and just want to strangle the girl, especially when she says "I enjoyed working out with you today!" Most of the moves aren't terribly hard to do but she does throw in a few steps that are just flat out complicated for a klutz and beginner like me. The whole house likes to watch me work out because I am that uncoordinated. I've done the whole routine probably 5 times and I am already noticing a change in how my clothes fit. I haven't seen a change on the scale yet but I am sure it will come with patience. Also as a mom I love how the routine is broken down into sections so you can do the whole thing at different times throughout the day. In the end I would give the DVD a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
